The hull of our craft was designed by Crowther Catamarans in Australia,
probably the worlds best known Catamaran designers with over 3000
designs completed in their long history. It was by no chance that this
Catamaran was originally described as the most economical production cat
in the world. The combination of speed and fuel economy, which until
then had been impossible to attain, has now become the normal practice
with the Powerglide 40.
Make no mistake this is a beautiful power catamaran, just getting it is the problem. I get emails from people from all over the USA who want to come fishing on "ELECTRIC BLUE" but cannot understand why Rod Baker is taking so long to build our vessel. Nor can we, but below, is part of the reason. We are dealing with a man, who takes people's money after promising them the earth. Not the nicest way to treat one's customers! Basically we have been used as a "bank" so Rod Baker can build others people boats. Several people have now e-mailed me questioning if I have my dates wrong as they say ROD BAKER could have built an "Aircraft Carrier" in that time frame! So here is a copy of the first three stage payments!

However I warn you not to order a boat from
Rod Baker
of POWER CATAMARANS Ltd or POWERGLIDE or PORT ISAAC MARINE. He promises the earth and cannot
deliver. We have had a multitude of excuses why we have not yet had
delivery. These range from the weather, his wife had an accident, we
failed to pay him on time, the economy, I keep on changing the
specifications etc. He even emailed me and offered to sell our
vessel? Now why would you do that? Why we would we order a vessel in the
first place? For the first 6 to 9 months everything went well and I would get email updates with pictures, then nothing but stories when I asked how everything was going. On the 9th June 2010 two of my colleagues visited the boatyard at Wadebridge, UK and took the pictures at the bottom of this page. They were informed that the reason the vessel has not been completed is that I have kept on changing the specifications! Of course that's a 100% load of nonsense and nothing in the specifications has changed since the 28th June 2006.
THIS 3 YEARS WORK! I took this picture of my vessel on the 23rd October 2009 at 4.33pm at Rod Baker's Wadebridge Boatyard, Wadebridge, Cornwall, United Kingdom when I visited the UK for a wedding. This is the result of over 4 years work! No engines installed, no stern gear fitted in fact just and empty hull and superstructure. I you don't believe me, go and look for yourself. Note the vessel in the background. This was molded a year after mine! This vessel has now been delivered to Wales ahead of mine. Also I believe some nine other vessels have been built over the past 4 years using my funds. It is my belief because I live in Florida ROD BAKER thinks he can abuse the situation. Things are going to change rapidly for him in August 2010 with the help of the law and hopefully this will not then happen to anyone else. The law will hopefully impound everything in the boatyard!

Here is the latest pictures taken on 9th June 2010. Compare that with the picture above taken on the 23rd October 2009.........NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE!!!! Just look at the rubbish in the yard! I reckon that tells you everything......unorganized! By my reckoning he has done nothing in 8 months since this picture was taken! But his latest promised completion date was by the 31st May 2010. Of course this is one of the many promised completion dates. Of course he asked me for more money to purchase the stern gear and I like a fool paid him. Result, nothing! Just more excuses from Rod Baker. Yes, this is 4 years work to date!

have to wait years until we can start your new boat." YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED We ordered our vessel on the
28th June 2006 and are still waiting ! We also have also paid in full
for our vessel over 3.5 years ago! The engines have sat under the boat in
crates for over 4 years and are now out of warranty. IVECO have told me
they will not warrant the engines. So what's next. It will be
interesting to see what happens next as we will insist on a full
warranty for the engines and we have now employed a lawyer!
