Hire/Charter Terms for the
vessel
"ELECTRIC
BLUE 111"
-
INTRODUCTION.
The following sets out the terms and
conditions under which the vessel
"ELECTRIC BLUE
111"
may be chartered. This document forms an
agreement between
"ELECTRIC
BLUE 111" (the
owner) and the club or individual/s hiring the
vessel (the charterer's).
THE VESSEL.
The owner will make available the vessel
"ELECTRIC BLUE
111", licensed, insured and carrying
regulation safety equipment, as set out by
the USCG. The vessel will also
carry a USCG Captain & and a crew when
appropriate.
ACCOMMODATION.
We do not endorse any
particular accommodation. Any accommodation must be reserved directly by
the charterer's with the Hotel concerned and as such
"ELECTRIC
BLUE 111"
are not involved in reservation of rooms etc.
PAYMENT.
A deposit is required to secure a
fishing charter booking.
This is normally $100 for a daily
charter. For a single charter, the balance
is due on completion of the charter.
For
multiple charters, the full amount is
payable on completion of each trip; the
deposit is taken into account and deducted
from the final charter. For Charters of several days a larger
deposit will be required. This is subject to
the Captains discretion.
SIZE OF PARTY.
Our license restricts us to a maximum of 6
passengers plus two crew. These limits will
not be exceeded under any circumstances. If
you find that your party is depleted, let us
know in good time & we will try to help you
make up the numbers. Please remember that
the charter cost is for the boat & the charterer's
are responsible for the full fee, regardless
of how many people are on board.
WEATHER.
Our
single biggest problem. However in Florida
this is not usually the case unless we have
a Hurricane forecast.
For single day charters, please call us on
Mobile (727) 415-2810
daytime and in the
evening prior to the trip to check
conditions. For multiple day charters,
please call us on your arrival.
We acquire weather information from a number
of sources; shipping forecast, inshore
forecast, internet buoy data, TV etc., and
use it in deciding whether or not to sail.
Intelligent interpretation of the best data
available does not guarantee a correct
decision; the owner cannot be held
responsible if the charterer's have a wasted
journey.
CANCELLATION.
- If the
owner cancels the charter due to adverse
weather conditions, problems with the boat,
illness or indisposition on the owner's part
or Captain's part, no boat charter fee is
payable & the full deposit is returnable.
- If
deteriorating weather conditions force an
early return to port, only that portion of
the trip spent at sea is chargeable, with
any part of an hour counting as 1 hour. It
is the discretion of the skipper if no
charge is levied.
- A
decision to return early to port is the
Captain's & his alone. A return at the
insistence of the anglers qualifies as a
complete trip & the full fee is payable.
- If the
charterer's cancel a trip within 4 weeks of
its date, the deposit is forfeited. If such
cancellation is within 2 weeks of the
charter date, then HALF THE CHARTER FEE is payable.
Cancellation with less than 96 hours notice or No-shows will be
billed on your credit card at FULL PRICE! NO EXCEPTIONS.
- If a charter is cancelled due to an airline weather problem, we will
honor this position and refund any deposit.
- Please remember we are operating a business
and this is our livelihood.

-
All Charter Costs must be settled on or before the day of the Charter. If
you settle before the day of the Charter we can clear you credit card using
our in house system. 1. YOUR NAME AS PRINTED ON YOUR CARD 2. CARD NUMBER 3. EXPIRY DATE 4. SECURITY CODE
(THREE NUMBERS ON THE REAR OF YOUR CARD)
-
You can make PAYMENT
for the CHARTER by paying CASH ON THE DAY but we will require a deposit in
advance to secure the BOOKING.
WE WILL SUPPLY YOU WITH AN INVOICE.

TRIP
TIPS
-
Bring
sunscreen, sunglasses and a cap/hat.
-
Wear Boat or
Tennis Shoes.
No black soles please. They mark the boat deck.
-
Bring
camera/camcorder as we will probably see Dolphins and also to photograph your
catch should you want to release it. Fish always look better in photographs
immediately after they are captured. Not hours later!
-
Bring plenty
of food and beverages (Soft drinks such as Coca-Cola, Sprite provided free).
We have a microwave to warm food and we can provide sandwiches etc.
if required.
We also have an ice maker to keep/make those drinks colder.
-
Wear or bring
seasonal clothing i.e. Light rain gear
-
If you are
prone to seasickness take a
seasickness remedy the night before and 1hr before arriving at the boat.
-
Do not over
indulge (DRINK ALCOHOL) the night before the trip, nothing's worse than a
spoilt day due to induced illness.
-
Bring a
cooler for your fish if you wish to take fish home. (Leave this in your car until we
return to dockside) We will provide you with ice.
-
Tips (15% is
customary) and are
shared equally between the Captain and his mate.
